I design and sew handmade Catholic vestments according to traditional liturgical principles, serving priests, parishes, and religious communities worldwide. My work includes Roman and Gothic Chasubles, Copes, Dalmatics, Mass Linens, Altar Cloths, Altar Rail Cloths, Linen Albs, Surplices, Humeral Veils, Banners, and other liturgical textiles, almost all made to order with reverence for the Roman Rite and suitable for both the Ordinary Form and the Traditional Latin Mass.

Why Copyright Matters

At Susan Maria Vestments, every design begins as an original work of prayer and precise reflection on what is required.  This involves skill, and often many hours of hand craftsmanship. My artwork, including unique custom Bullion Embroidiers/hand painted Vessicas and designs, patterns, and concepts are protected by Copyright and may not be copied, reproduced, adapted, or imitated without written permission. A company in Poland has made thousands of dollars through replicating one of my original designs for a detatchable Cope Hood, which I created in 2007; and then also proceeded to pirate the fabric pattern of a British fabric firm.  

Unauthorised use - whether direct copying or “inspired” replication - undermines my livelihood as an artisan with no other form of income, and the integrity of sacred art. Any theft or misuse of my artwork or design ideas will be treated as a serious infringement and may result in legal action. I ask all visitors and competitors to respect intellectual property, ethical business practice, and the creative labour behind each piece.  Thank you and God bless you!
