HOW MUCH BANDING DO I NEED?
For a Roman set, if the Cross on the back of the Chasuble, the panel on the front, and the four accessories are all trimmed in 3" banding, you need approximately 4.5 yards.
For a Gothic set of Vestments, allow eight yards.
WHICH THREAD DO I USE?
I recommended Gutterman sewing thread, in their deep gold shade #968. Use a small sewing stitch to sewing down the banding, about 1.5 mm to 2mm stitch length.
IS THE PUGIN BANDING DIFFICULT TO SEW?
No, but it also depends on the degree of experience that you have. This banding is usually easy to stitch down, and should not pucker or wrinkle. CAUTION: when stitching the second side down, make sure the fabric underneath and the banding itself, is perfectly flat. Any shifting of either of these will cause a ripple effect.
SHIPPING: For 5 yards the price is $US15 for airmail postage.
